Rescue Spot Adoption Partners

Feb 01, 2017Nick Batcheller

Healthy Spot has always supported the community through fundraising, adoption hosting and donations. Through these community efforts, Healthy Spot has been able to help thousands of animals and raise over $200,000 for our Rescue Spot Adoption Partners!

Throughout the year we will be organizing and hosting a wide variety of fundraising efforts to support these groups! We will host bi-annual food drives, monthly Round Up For Rescues, ongoing silent auctions at all our large events, weekly adoptions in our daycare facilities and our annual Rescue Spot Gala! Plus a host of other initiatives that benefit our 12 Rescue Spot Adoption Partners! Learn more about these efforts here.

Here Is A Full List Of All Our Partners:

Bill Foundation

Bill Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to alleviating the suffering of dogs abandoned in Los Angeles shelters or on the streets, dog by dog. “Dog by dog” exemplifies Bill Foundation’s mission and commitment to our dogs; we promise that we will be there for them, no matter what. We commit ourselves to these dogs for life, even when their adopters sometimes cannot. For more than 16 years, Bill Foundation has taken great care in matching each of our rescue dogs with caring homes that are best suited for their unique personalities and needs.

Operation Blankets of Love

Operation Blankets of Love (OBOL) is an animal welfare and emergency relief agency dedicated to end homelessness. Operation Blankets of Love’s life-saving mission is to improve the well-being of homeless animals and increase their chances for adoption by providing donated comfort and care items to shelters, rescue groups, pets of the homeless, fosters and sanctuaries. And by advocating for animal welfare through service-oriented humane education, public awareness campaigns, anti-cruelty campaigns and organizing adoption events.

Delany's Dog

Delaney’s Dog is a Nonprofit 501(c)(3) all breed dog rescue dedicated to the welfare, protection, well-being, rescue, rehabilitation and placement of abandoned, neglected and abused animals from city/county shelters, the streets or owner surrendered and placing them into permanent, loving forever homes. Animals in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped and receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment. We assist dogs in danger without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Our requirement is need, not breed.

Dachshund Rescue Los Angeles

Dachshund Rescue LA aims to reduce the number of dachshunds euthanized in local shelters and find well prepared, permanent homes for homeless dogs.

Forte Animal Rescue

Forte Animal Rescue is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, dedicated to finding solutions for the problem of pet overpopulation through its animal adoption efforts, outreach programs, and educational activities. Forte also works together with the community to raise awareness for animals in need, and inspire compassion and responsibilities.

The Rescue Train is a no-kill, non-profit animal welfare organization dedicated to eliminating animal suffering through hands on rescue work, dedication to spay/neuter, shelter intervention, education and awareness.

Pacific Pups Rescue is a non-profit, foster based dog rescue in Los Angeles. We rescue dogs from high kill shelters, as well as help the community with their dogs when they can no longer care for their dogs for emergency, unforeseen circumstances. Our goal is to rehab (if necessary) and re-home all of our dogs into the best home that we can find for them.  All of our dogs are placed in a foster home while they wait to find their forever home.

Ziggy and Friends mission is to save these innocent little lives that are so deserving of a second chance and a long and well-loved life.

L.A. Love & Leashes is an adoption space that is 100% dedicated to animals from Los Angeles’ six city animal shelters.  Created by the non-profit Friends of L.A. Animal Shelters, L.A. Love & Leashes is located inside Healthy Spot, Santa Monica and reaches large numbers of people who would not otherwise visit our city shelters.

Southern California Pomeranian Rescue (SCPR) is a purposely small 501c3 not-for-profit organization which maintains a safe, no-kill solution for Pomeranians, and other small dogs as room provides, which have been abandoned, lost, abused or for other reasons must be re-homed.

Marley’s Pit Stop Rescue is an all-volunteer, grassroots animal charity inspired by a pit bull mix named Marley whose life was saved after being rescued from a high kill shelter in Los Angeles. “Winning the Race Home”, the Crew at Marley’s advocates for not only the bully breeds, but all companion animals facing death at kill shelters simply because they do not have a home.

Our mission is to find loving, lifetime homes for all Southern California Golden Retrievers in need, regardless of conditions or circumstances. We will always strive to heal the sick and injured, rehabilitate the neglected and abused, and nurture the aged and unwanted until we find the perfect family who will shower them with unconditional love.

  • So I just wanted to know if you had a pet adoption process because I looked on the healthy spot website and I didn’t see any information on how to adopt a dog or puppy from here and I just wanted to know

  • WE lost our first and best doggie, Rusty a few months ago to kidney failure and miss him terribly. It’s time for us to welcome a new pal into our home. We loved Rusty’s energy, intelligence and friendliness. We would be happy to find a dog on the younger side, puppy-2 years, around the 20 pound size. Ready to adopt!
