Dec 02, 2019Jamie Shindler

Colder temperatures have arrived, but that doesn’t mean you need to stay indoors with your pet! Healthy Spot is here to help give you pet-friendly recommendations on where to take your pup throughout California to keep them active, happy and healthy this winter. Before you head out, be sure to stock up on adventure gear and treats at your local Healthy Spot!

Eaton canyon falls (Pasadena)

@fernandolcevita

Home to one of the most gorgeous waterfalls in Southern California, this easy hike is packed with adventure for your pup! Crossing over small rivers with a few rocky challenges leads you to a gorgeous waterfall, shown best in the Winter after California has graced us with rain. Shallow enough to not worry about your pup, but deep enough to let them explore and play. Be pupared for 3.5 miles round trip, and bring a towel!

Arch Picnic Area (Wrightwood)

This spot is an easy 90 minute drive from Los Angeles, giving you the closest snow you’ll find. Bring your pet to frolic in the snow off-leash! It not only makes for adorable pictures, but is a simple day trip usually followed by hot cocoa for the humans. Your pet will love the colder weather if they have a bushy coat, otherwise you can visit any Healthy Spot location to find our puffy jackets to pupare for your day! Find your local spot here!
