At Healthy Spot, we’re suckers for pet-friendly places! We’ve shared lots of our favorite hangouts over the past year, but we’re always on the lookout for more. That’s why we asked on our Instagram what your top hot spots are. Here are your favorite 8 pet-friendly places that you shared with us. 

Audrey at The Hammer Museum

Inside of this illuminating art museum at UCLA is a restaurant called Audrey. Audrey “features elevated and soulful cooking” that’s based on Southern California’s growing seasons. Great for a sit-down meal or cocktails and a light bite, Audrey is the pawfect place to have a cultured date with your four-legged friend. Afterward, you can stroll around the museum’s courtyard and enjoy lots of greenery and natural light.

The Golden Squirrel Pub

This family-friendly pub nestled in the Rockridge area of Oakland is a neighborhood staple. Featuring 24 beers on tap, unique pub food and a large, shady patio, The Golden Squirrel is a great place to chill with your four-legged bestie. It’s also walking distance to our brand new Rockridge location - coming soon! Now that’s a win-win for you and your dog!

Golden Road Brewing

Offering tasty brews and a solid food selection, Golden Road is a great spot to bring your pup and watch sports games or socialize with your pack. Golden Road also features a patio to hang out on that has fun games like corn hole, giant jenga and ping pong. If you’re looking for a fun place to eat, drink and be merry with your pet, head to Golden Road!

Donkey & Goat Tasting Room

On an unassuming street in West Berkeley, you’ll find the Donkey & Goat tasting room. They make natural wines using sustainable, natural and biodynamic farming. One of the most unique styles of wine they produce is an orange wine which has a flavor all its own. The tasting room also has an urban yard attached to it with a bocce ball court, corn hole, board games, and picnic tables. Grab your pup and head to Donkey & Goat Friday-Sunday for a fun, wine-filled day.

Third Rail

Tucked away in San Francisco’s Dogpatch is a trendy cocktail bar called Third Rail. They’re known for their creative cocktails and unique list of tasty jerkys, including vegetarian jerky! It’s not uncommon to see pups lounging on the furniture while their owners enjoy a cocktail or a Rail Shot (a beer, a shot, and jerky.) Pro tip: bring a bag of MIND BODY BOWL jerky for your doggo so he doesn’t feel left out of the fun!

Located in Huntington Beach and Costa Mesa is SOCIAL - a restaurant that serves up, new American meals made with local, fresh ingredients. Not only do they have a flavorful food menu, but they also have an “all-star mixologist team” that makes unique craft cocktails. The Huntington Beach location has a large, open-concept patio with a firepit, perfect for a night out with your pup. Be sure to stop by on Wednesdays after 4PM for all-night Happy Hour!

Common Space Brewery is a super dog-friendly spot located in Hawthorne. A majority of their seating is outdoors at long, community-style tables, which is great for making new fur-iends!  Not only does the brewery offer a menu of palatable beers, but they also host a different food truck each day of the week. Spacious and bright, Common Space is an ideal place to take a group of friends and their fellow fur babies too.

If you’re looking for a mouth-watering burger topped with Ketchup Leather (yes, you heard that right!), then head to Plan Check! There’s plenty of outdoor tables accompanied by bright red chairs for you and your pup to sit at and chow down. They also host brunch with bottomless drinks at both their Sawtelle and Downtown locations on the weekends.
