It’s our mission to inspire healthy pet lifestyles and we hope our updates help you feel more confident and informed as a pet parent.

September 3, 2025 - The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) found that two lots of RAWR Raw Cat Food Chicken Eats sliders tested positive for H5N1. Sadly, a cat that ate from Lot CCS 25 093 became sick with the virus and had to be euthanized. Testing by the San Francisco Department of Public Health first detected H5N1 in the food, and follow-up testing by USDA’s National Veterinary Services Laboratories confirmed the virus was present in both the product and the cat.

While there has not been an official recall mandated by either the FDA or RAWR, if you purchased either of the below lots at any Healthy Spot location, you can return it for a full refund.

Below are the specifics of the products being recalled:

RAWR Raw Cat Food Chicken Eats Sliders

Lot CCS 25 077 (Sell By 09/18/26)

Lot CCS 25 093 (Sell By 10/03/26)
