10 Common Questions About CBD Oil

Jun 28, 2017Emily Wallace

Does your dog hide under the bed when the fireworks go off every Fourth of July? Or get overly anxious when new people come over to take a dip in the pool? Healthy Spot now carries a CBD Oil called Green Gorilla and it offers many benefits for both your cats and dogs, namely relieving anxiety. CBD oil may seem like an intimidating choice to give your dog, but Healthy Spot has done all the research for you and wants to educate you about this amazing product. We are answering 10 common questions about CBD oil and debunking the myths.

Is CBD oil even legal?

Yes, absolutely! CBD oil is essentially just hemp, which you can buy at any local grocery store. It commonly gets lumped in with Marijuana, so many people have a negative connotation of hemp. CBD oil is not Marijuana and is a safe, legal option to give your pet.

So then what’s the difference between Hemp and Marijuana?

While they both come from the same plant, Hemp and Marijuana are very different. The two main chemicals that come from the Cannabis sativa plant are CBD and THC. THC is the cannabinoid that gives the feeling of being high. CBD, on the other hand, is simply calming, with no buzz. Marijuana generally has about 10-15 percent THC while Hemp must have 0.3 percent or less.  Therefore, hemp alone has no  psychoactive effects. Green Gorilla goes one step beyond and makes sure that their products contain 0 percent THC. To learn about cannabis oil for dogs, click here.

My pet won’t get high from CBD oil, right?

No, your cat or dog will not get a high from CBD Oil.  Green Gorilla, the CBD oil that Healthy Spot sells, contains 0 percent THC, well below the minimum percentage acceptable. This extra step protects your pet from the possibility of feeling any psychoactive properties.

What makes Green Gorilla different than other CBD Oils?

Green Gorilla uses organic, extra virgin olive oil with low acidity levels because it blends well with CBD oil and has a pleasing taste.
