DIY Frozen Dog Treats

Posted on Jul 10, 2015 , 0 comments

These are the dog days of summer. While you might enjoy an ice cold smoothie or a scoop (ok, scoops) of ice cream you might catch your pup making those big, puppy dog eyes at you in envy. To let Spot in on the summer fun here are some pupsicle ideas that’ll help your furry friend beat the heat. Berry, Berry Good It’s berry season! Treat your pup when you treat yourself to some tasty, ripe berries. Take blueberries, strawberries and blackberries and blend them together with some of Primal’s Raw Goat Milk. Pour into ice trays or popsicle molds and freeze for an ice-cold treat filled with beneficial enzymes, antioxidants, fiber and vitamins! The Elvis aka The Hound Dog Bacon. Peanut butter. Banana. A Graceland favorite for pups! Mash together 1 ripe banana, 1/2 cup of peanut butter and 3 ounces of real bacon bits. Mix in 1 cup of non-fat, plain yogurt and 1/4 Primal’s Raw Goat Milk. Stir together and pour into popsicle molds. Once frozen your pup will be eating like a King! Pumpkin Bumpkins Take 1 can of Nummy Tum Tum Pure Organic Pumpkin and mix in 3 big spoonfuls of peanut butter. Mix thoroughly until you get an even consistency. You can either freeze the mixture in an ice cube tray so that you have a bunch of tasty morsels ready-to-go or fill up an Orbee Tuff Produce Stuffer for an interactive treat!
