Salmonella poisoning poses a serious risk to animals and humans who come into contact with contaminated products. Humans infected with salmonella poisoning could experience diarrhea, vomiting, and abdominal cramps. Dogs with "Salmonella infections may experience a lack of energy and diarrhea or bloody stool, fever, and vomiting. Some pets will only have decreased appetite, fever and abdominal pain. Infected but otherwise healthy pets can be carriers and infect other animals or humans. If your pet has consumed the recalled product and has these symptoms, please contact your veterinarian"(FDA).
